My Own Success Story

"I have had a lot of success stories in the 27 years I have been practicing.  The first is my own story and is why I chose to become a Chiropractor."

"I was a very healthy active child in the 6th grade, playing all kinds of sports and other activities until one day while rough housing with my sister on the living room sofa, I fell off backwards and hit my head very hard on the coffee table.  The sound of my head crashing onto the coffee table alarmed my mom, but I got right back up and started playing again.  My mom interviened and checked the back of my head and found that I had a big knot on the back of my head.  She took me to the doctor,(M.D.) right away to get me checked and the doctor said that I just had a bad bruise and that everything would be OK. 

Within three months time after the accident I began having severe ashtma attacks.  I had never had asthma before that time.  My mom took me to every medical specialist she could find searching for answers.  I had allergy test done and the doctors told me and my mother that I had asthma because I was allergic to pollen, grass, leaves, dust, milk and you name it, I was allergic to it, according to these doctors.  They did what most medical doctors do and prescribed me a wide variety of medications from steroids to the worst thing any 6th grader could imagine, allergy shots, twice a week over the next two years.  My allergies and asthma continued to worsen to the point that I had to be rushed to the hospital several times, put into oxygen tents and given shots of steroids and adrenaline.  Finally, after two years of failed medical treatment my mom took me to see a Chiropractor who she was referred too.  I had no idea why I was seeing this Chiropractor, and niether did my mom.  At that point we were willing to try anything, we were desparate.  The Chiropractor checked my spine, took x-rays and discovered that I had several verebrae misaligned in my upper neck, lower neck, upper back,  lower mid back and the upper part of my lower back.  He went on to explain to me and my mother that when I had the accident it didn't just give me a knot on my head, but had bent my spine violently similar to a whiplash from a car accident, misaligning several of the vertebrae in my spine that caused nerve interference to certain organs, muscles, tissues and cells that were responsible for my newly aquired health conditions.  He began adjusting the vertebrae in my spine and did this over the next several months and low and behold my allergies and asthma began to disappear.  Finally, after about six months of Chiropractic care, NO MORE AlLERGIES, NO MORE ASTHMA.  I was able to stop taking the numerous medications I was prescribed and no more allergy shots.  It was an answer to many prayers and completly changed my life forever. This experience taught me a lot about the condition known as VERTEBRAL SUBLUXATION, THE SILENT KlLER.   I was in the 8th grade when I decided I was going to be a Chiropractor and help other people as I had been helped."  I then had the answer of what God wanted me to do with the rest of my life.  It was clear to me that, My purpose in life was to help as many people as I possibly could with Chiropractic care.  I learned that Chiropractic literally meant, "done by hand".  I later learned that God had given me the Gift of Healing Hands.  I am very blessed that God showed me what I was supposed to do for the rest of my life to bring honor and glory to Him.  To this day, the first thing I do with each and every new patient is to get down on my knees, lay hands on the patient and pray a strong and binding healing prayer.
